Iran Map data levels: Full vs Standard vs Lite vs Mini

Full (legacy) data next to three lite levels, rendered by the real buildMapModel with identical sample data. Scroll to zoom, drag to pan (all panels move together), click an area or island to select it in every panel. Tick “Overlay full outline” to draw the full catalog's borders in red on top of each lite panel: any red line that does not sit on a lite border is a displacement.

Click an area to inspect it.

Sizes (JSON catalog, gzip level 9 / brotli)

Each level keeps ids, names, codes, label anchors and every non-geometry field. Province, county, island and water borders are simplified as shared topologies (Visvalingam-Whyatt) so neighbouring areas keep sharing identical edges: no gaps or overlaps. Paths use compact relative SVG data (M x y l dx dy … z), usable directly as a d attribute. Sea rings smaller than a level's threshold (tiny islets that were holes in the sea polygon) are dropped. Capitals are unchanged in every level.
